I'm Naomi and the founder of HERA organics. A few years ago I discovered natural menstrual sponges by chance after I stopped using hormonal contraception due to severe side effects.

My mission was to put as few synthetic substances into my body as possible and to find the natural rhythm of my menstruation again. Not only my contraceptive played a role in this process, but also conventional menstrual products, which you insert into your body up to 450 times in your life.

When I realized that many conventional menstrual products are not only contaminated with plastic, but also often contain harmful chemicals - and that no clear ingredient information is required - I knew: menstrual sponges are not only the answer to chemical and plastic-free alternatives, but they are also as natural as menstruation itself and can absorb much more than just blood. HERA organics was born out of this conviction.
