The cleansing tabs are available as an effective and environmentally friendly alternative to the old vinegar and water solution.
The AtenaPure cleaning tabs enable gentle and effective cleaning of menstrual sponges without unnecessary additives. The cleaning tabs are pH-neutral and contain natural ingredients.
Compared to liquid cleaning solutions, our compact tabs use significantly less water and cause fewer CO2 emissions. The reduced weight and volume also means lower transport emissions. Since only 2 tabs are needed per cycle, the only waste they generate is the recyclable paper packaging, minimizing overall waste.
Packed in recyclable paper packaging, we help reduce plastic consumption and thus reduce pollution.
It is very important that the tablets are always stored in a dry place and in their original packaging. They do not have a specific expiration date, which prevents overconsumption and waste and ensures their longevity.
The tabs are manufactured entirely in Germany, which further reduces our CO2 emissions.

The set contains 6 AthenaPure cleaning tabs that are designed for 3 monthly cycles. 2 taps are recommended per cycle: one before and one after your period. If necessary, you can also use them for cleaning during your period or use regular tap water. Our tabs are inspired by the Greek goddess Athena, who stands for her wisdom and purity. Perfect for deep cleaning your HERA organics menstrual sponges.
With the cleaning tabs you can effectively remove bacteria from your sponge and keep it as fresh and clean as the first day.
Our vegan tabs are made in Germany and contain no unnecessary additives. One tab is enough to revitalize the 3 sponges in the set.

The packaging is made of paper and is 100% recyclable.
Ingredients Athena Pure cleaning tabs: 5-15%: anionic surfactants, non-ionic surfactants. Less than 5%: oxygen-based bleach. Contains: fragrances, SODIUM BENZOATE, POTASSIUM SORBATE.

Die Anwendung der Reinigungstabs:
1. Reinigung starten: Einen Tab in eine Schüssel legen und mit 500 ml warmen Wasser übergießen.
2. HERA Schwämme einlegen & relaxen: Gib deinen Schwämmen eine mind. 20-minütige Wellness-Kur. Du kannst die Schwämme auch länger im Bad einwirken lassen.
3. Ausspülen & los geht's: Einfach ausspülen und deine Schwämme sind ready to rock.
4. Vor und nach der Periode: Um sicherzustellen, dass deine Schwämme immer hygienisch sauber sind, reinige sie mit einem Tab sowohl vor als auch nach deiner Periode. Während der Periode reicht das Auswaschen mit Leitungswasser aus. Für eine intensivere Reinigung während der Periode kann jedoch auch ein Tab verwendet werden.

How it works:

Origin and application with new, smart cleaning tabs:
1. HARVEST
Some of the sponge is harvested by hand in controlled areas, leaving the root intact.
2. CLEANING
The sponges are gently cleaned during production.
3. TRANSPORT
The sponges are transported to Switzerland and prepared for shipping.
4. APPLICATION
You can find all information about the application by scrolling further.
5. DURATION
Sponges can be reused for at least 3 cycles.
6. DISPOSAL
Sponges are then composted (100% biodegradable).
CLEANING
The sponges including the retrieval threads are cleaned with the cleaning tabs for intensive cleaning before your period.
RINSE
The sponges are then rinsed with tap water.
INTRODUCE
Squeeze the sponge and insert it. The sponge does not need to be inserted as deeply as a tampon.
DURATION
Max. wearing time 8 hours. Sponge can also be used at night. Rinse and reinsert before sleeping.
REMOVE
Remove sponges using tweezers or use a retrieval thread.
DRY
During your period, rinse sponges with tap water. Then reuse them immediately or let them air dry and store them in a hygiene bag.
DISINFECTION
After your period, repeat step 1, let it air dry and store it in the hygiene bag.
