I didn't know exactly what to expect with the period sponge. In the package were two small sponges, similar to those I have seen at a market in Greece. The so-called Levantine sponges are a reusable menstrual product, without any waste. Those from HERA organics are also harvested sustainably, so enough sponges are left in the sea so as not to damage the organic culture.
